Dashing Gee Gee has scored back to back wins with a narrow victory in the 2yo Handicap at Sunshine Coast today.

The son of Al Maher was returning from a successful trip north, which saw him bolt in at Rockhampton, winning his Maiden by a neat 4.5 lengths.

Jumping to front in the 1000m scamper on the Sunshine Coast Synthetic Track, jockey Jim Byrne, who also partnered Gee Gee in Rockhampton, drove to him to the line to win by a short half-head.

Tommy was very pleased with the effort.

“Couldn’t be more happy with the horse.”

“They pressured him quite earlier, he might’ve been out on his feet the last 50 yards, but he stuck his head at the right time on the line.”
